My Time At ACLC 

Day 1, Journal Entry 1

 

Today was my first day working at urban air market, It was a lot more fun than I had expected. I didn’t really know what I was going to do going in. My job was to basically sit at the information desk and talk to everyone who came in or out. It is kind of like being a greeter at an event except part of my job was to convince people to sign up for the raffle. I got over 60 signature, YAY! I got to talk to some many people and had a lot of fun little experiences. I found out that there is this independent delivery service in SF that basically delivers food from food trucks and locally owned restaurants right you your door (if you live in a certain block radius in SF). It’s really just a bunch of guys on bikes with giant backpacks. I had nice time chatting with one of the delivery guys while he was waiting for his food.

 

Today is fashion awareness day which is about being aware of who makes your clothing, it is in honor of the clothing factory disaster last year where a lot of people were locked in the factory while there was a fire and a bunch of people died. To participate I wore some article of clothing inside out showing its tags and I also got a shirt that say “who made your cloths?”.
