Closing Report

This internship taught me things about myself that I didn’t expect. I didn't really know what it was going to be like going in, I had no idea what it was going to require of me or what I was going to be spending my 20 hours doing. What I discovered is that some jobs require many different parts of you, I had to be social while still remaining professional, I had to be charismatic while talking customers but harsh and strong willed while talking poachers. I had to be willing to work for hours on end and learn how to manage my own breaks. Sometimes my work wasn’t nearly as social like with data entry which was my least favorite part. But the most important thing I learned is that I absolutely love this kind of work! Getting to talk to people all day and be outside in the open air under the sun. Getting to walk around look at the booths and help anyone who needed it. This kind of work is fulfilling for me. I never knew before but I think this is a really potential for me in the future. I talked to Danielle and me maybe continuing to work part time once I turn 18 over the summer. I love this sort of work and I love this kind of community that can be found in the sustainable design scene.
