Day 4, Journal Entry 6

It’s about 4 right now and god this place is so much fun. There was this one performer who calls himself The One Man Banjo. He is amazing, a great singer and he played for 2 hours straight. I got a few videos of him performing and I danced some. On a less awesome note there was this one political guy who set up a booth on the corner and was handing out pamphlets for someone running for mayor. The guy was in no was supposed to be there, we rented the space and sold spaces for booth. Everyone there paid to be there, except him he was a poacher. but the worst part is he wouldn’t move. We had a bunch of people go over and tell him he had to go and he just wouldn’t. Eventually Danielle called the police and they escorted him away. I’m glad to cause he was acting like an entitled brat. But ignoring that little bump this whole thing has been a lot of fun. the person in the booth next to us is an artist and his work is amazing. he has been painting the entire time and I just love being able to watch it evolve as the hours past. I wonder if he is going to be done by the time the day is over.

Day 4, Journal Entry 7

It’s 9 at night and I finally got home. I’m going to keep this entry short since I’ve been up for 16 hours (oh god I’m tired). Today was an experience that  am not going to soon forget. I had so much fun the entire time. There were points where I was doing unfavorable work but those were small and far between. Like when I had to had out flyer to our next event to every vendor that was here and going to the next one. but to do this i had to go through a list of every vendor that was in alphabetical order find the ones that were circled and look at the booth number then I would have to remember the number while I cross referenced it on a map that showed every booths location by its number. There was a lot of me standing in the middle of chaos looking at the map going “ok where am I? and where is the closet booth? ok now how the hell do I get there?”. Over all I had an amazing time and loved every minute of it.
